Spring 2025 Department Team GPA's

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom as Panther student-athletes posted another successful semester finishing with a 3.33 grade point average for the 2025 spring semester.
 
A total of nine teams posted a team GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.  Softball had the highest team GPA for the second straight semester with a 3.76 spring GPA.   Men's cross country posted the highest men's team GPA at 3.57

A total of 91 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring term with 75 percent of the department student-athletes finishing with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Additional team's with a GPA over 3.50 for the semester included women's cross country (3.71), women's soccer (3.66), women's tennis (3.65), women's golf (3.64), beach volleyball (3.55), volleyball (3.55) and women's track & field (3.50).
 
Eastern Illinois softball plays in the NCAA Tournament this week in Austin, Texas while EIU's track & field programs are in Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships.  EIU baseball is wrapping up its regular season at home.
