Eastern Illinois scored four times in the top of the seventh inning to win the second game of Saturday's doubleheader at Western Illinois.
The win gave the Panthers a doubleheader sweep but also locked up the outright Ohio Valley Conference Championship, EIU's second straight and fourth overall title.
EIU won the opener over WIU 8-2 before coming back to win 6-3 in the second game.
The win was No. 30 of the regular season for EIU and the 20th OVC win as the Panthers are 30-19 overall, 20-5 in the OVC.
Western Illinois was eliminated from the OVC Tournament picture falling to 11-36 overall, 7-19 in the OVC.
EIU 8, WIU 2
Eastern Illinois jumped out to an early lead and closed the door with runs in the fourth, fifth and six innings of an 8-2 game one victory.
McKenzie Oslanzi (17-12) allowed one run in five innings to pick up her first win of the day in the circle scattering five hits.Ā
Bryanna French closed out the final two innings in relief.
Abbi Hatton opened the Panthers scoring in the second with an infield RBI single.Ā She added two more RBI in the fifth going 2-for-3 in the game.

Briana Gonzalez delivering a two-run home run in the sixth.Ā Gonzalez joined
Kendall Grover with two hits for EIU while
Karson Davey led the Panthers with three hits.
Maria Luna hit a solo home run in the fifth to put the Leathernecks on the board and added an RBI single in the sixth picking up two of WIU's hits.Ā
Payton Brown, Lilli Wools and Megan Leonard also finished with two hits each in the game for WIU.Ā Wools (5-13) was the losing pitcher leaving the game after 1.1 innings in the circle.
EIU 6, WIU 3
EIU scored four times in the top of the seventh inning as the Panthers rallied to pick up a 6-3 win over Western Illinois.
Kendall Grover opened the seventh inning with a single to center advancing to third base with no outs.Ā
Morgan Hance beat out a two-out infield single to score Grover and tie the game at 3-3.Ā
Sophia Olman followed with a two-run double with
Abbi Hatton adding an RBI double to close out the big seventh inning.

The Leathernecks built a 2-0 lead in the game starting their scoring with a two-run, bases loaded single in the third by Sophia Sanchez.Ā Payton Brown extended the lead to 3-0 with an RBI triple in the fifth.Ā Brown was 2-for-2 in the game as WIU was held to four hits in the game.
EIU cut into the lead in the top of the sixth with an RBI double by Hatton and RBI single by
Abbey Crain.Ā
