Eastern Illinois sophomore midfielder Abby Reinl picked up a pair of yearly honors playing for the Panthers during the 2024 season.

Reinl was named a 3rd team All-South Region selection by the United Soccer Coaches Association.  She was the first EIU player to earn an All-Region honor since Lee Ann Langsfeld in 2005 with a 3rd Team All-Great Lakes Region honor.

Reinl was named the 2024 OVC Midfielder of the Year after leading the Panthers to a second straight OVC Tournament appearance.

Reinl finished second in the OVC in scoring this season as she led the Panthers with eight goals including three match winning goals.  Reinl had a streak during the OVC season of scoring at least one goal in five straight matches as seven of her goals came in conference play.  She was a first team All-OVC selection at midfielder while winning the Midfielder of the Year Award.  Reinl finished with a regular season shot percentage of 63 percent of her season shots on goal.
