Eastern Illinois concluded their Friday meet showdown at the DePaul Alumni Classic. The Panthers standouts Abby Venhaus and Maxwell St. Clair each earned a podium finish in the women's triple jump and men's 60m hurdles.
Men's Track:
In the 60m dash, EIU recorded three top ten finishes, including Daniel Lacy in 8th, Shawn Lacy in 6th, and Ayden Cothern in 5th with a time of 6.90.
Maxwell St. Clair earned a silver medal in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.15, which is a personal best.
Cothern followed his 60m performance with 6th place in the 200m with a time of 21.60, which ranks 3rd in the OVC.
Daniel Lacy earned a seasonal best in the 400m, finishing fourth with a time of 48.0 seconds, ranking 2nd in the OVC.
Benjamin Roedl and Machi Nelson went three and four in the high jump. Both scored a 2.00m mark. Then, Nelson recorded a personal best in the long jump with a 7.24m mark, which ranks 4th in the OVC.
Gavin Snyder earned a season best in the pole vault, earning a silver medal with a 4.90m mark.
Enoch Appiah-Kubi earned a bronze medal in the triple jump with a 14.17m mark.
Sam Bradbury placed 3rd in the weight throw with an 18.44m mark.
Women's Track:
Analena Peterson kicked off the meet for the Panthers with a 6th place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.70. Peterson then finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 24.26.
Ashlyn Denney scored a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:10.51, which is the 2nd fastest in the OVC.
Brenda Torres earned a top ten finish in the mile with a time of 5:06.31.
Layla Bonilla placed 7th in the high jump with a 1.60m mark.
Angela Dobbins earned a PR in the long jump, placing 7th with a 5.64m mark. Marco Reynolds placed 5th with a personal record in the shot put, scoring a 13.96m mark, ranking 2nd in the OVC.
Abby Venhaus earned a gold medal in the triple jump with a 12.07m mark. Bonilla and NeVaeh Bryant rounded out the top five in the triple jump.
