EIU dropped each pair against Lindenwood to start the Missouri State Tournament.
Sylvia Hasz and Lilli Amettis opened the weekend for the Panthers, dropping their match 2-0. In set one, they fell 21-14 and dropped set two 21-15.
Giorgia Cappelletti and Laura Paniagua lost their match 2-0. The pair lost both sets 23-21.
Tori Mohesky and Emma Schroeder went the distance but ultimately fell 2-1. In set one, they lost 21-16 but bounced back in set two, winning 21-17. However, they lost set three 15-12.
Alanys Nieves and Anaya Rawlinson also went the distance but lost 2-1. In set one, they lost 21-14 but won the second set 21-14. In set three, they fell short, losing 15-6.
Jorah Rutter and Kyla Coolman went 0-1, losing both sets 21-17.
Match 2: EIU 0, Central Arkansas 5
The pair of Cappelletti and Paniagua fell in a close match, 2-1.
Mohesky and Schroeder, the senior duo, went the distance against Central Arkansas but fell short, 2-1.
Nieves and Rawlinson were unable to steal a set, dropping the match 2-0.
Coolman and Rutter were unable to find their footing, losing the match 2-0.
Hasz and Amettis battled in a tight match against Central Arkansas, playing for over an hour of game time. They stole set two in a high-scoring affair, 23-21, but fell short, losing set three 13-11.
