The Panthers split their matches to wrap up the Missouri State Tournament. EIU is now 1-3 this season. After losing to Missouri State, Eastern Illinois bounced back to overcome McKendree 5-0.
Match 1: EIU 0, Missouri State 5
Lilli Amettis and Sylvia Hasz opened the early morning match against Missouri State with a 2-0 loss.
Laura Paniagua and Giorgia Cappelletti fell to Missouri State 2-0.
The pair of Tori Mohesky and Emma Schroeder lost their match 2-0.
Alanys Nieves and Anaya Rawlinson lost 2-0.
Kyla Coolman and Jorah Rutter fell short, losing 2-0.
Match 2: EIU 5, McKendree 0
Mohesky and Schroeder kicked off match number two with a 2-0 win, setting the tone for the next four pairs.
Nieves and Rawlinson continued the early momentum, facing no trouble by winning 2-0.
Cappelletti and Paniagua won their match 2-0. In set one, they earned a 21-19 victory followed by a 21-17 win.
The pair of Amettis and Hasz quickly sped past McKendree, winning their match 2-0.
Katie Kopshever made her 2026 season debut paired with Jorah Rutter; the pair dominated their match, winning 2-0.
