Lindenwood knocked down 13 3-pointers on Thursday night while Eastern Illinois was held to three made shots from long range with the Lions beating the Panthers 80-43 at Hyland Arena.
Lindenwood opened with a 13-0 run to start the game with
Sydney-James Desroches putting the EIU on the board with a jumper with 5:15 to play in the first quarter. Desroches had eight of her ten points in the opening half as EIU trailed 43-24 at the half.
The Lions made 8 of their 13 3-pointers in the first half. EIU knocked two 3-pointers in the first half with
Ava Stoller and
Clara Glad converting from outside. Stoller finished with 12 points for EIU. Glad made EIU's final 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter.
In the second half EIU worked the ball inside with
Meioshe Mason finishing with 11 points as EIU had 24 points in the paint.
Alyssa Nielsen led Lindenwood with 17 points as four Lions finished in double figures. The Lions improved to 23-7 overall, 15-4 in the OVC.
EIU fell to 4-26 overall, 3-16 in the OVC. The Panthers wrap up the 2025-26 season on Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. game at SIUE.Â
