Eastern Illinois women's golf season opens its spring season on Monday as the Panthers will play at the Samford Huntsville.org Intercollegiate.  The 54-hole tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday at the RTJ Golf Trail Hampton Road Course playing as a 6,039-yard layout and Par 72.

Samford will serve as the host school in the tournament which includes Eastern Illinois, IU Indy, UAB, Merrimack College, Bellarmine, North Alabama, Belmont, Indiana State and Austin Peay.  

Mya Mirocha was the Panthers top golfer in the fall semester with a stroke average of 80.5 which included two Top 10 finishes in her last two tournaments of the fall at the Chicago State Windy City Classic and Evansville Braun Intercollegiate.

Meera Upadhyay was just behind Mirocha at 80.8 for the fall with one top twenty finish.  Sophia Miller also had a top twenty finish in the fall over the course of the Panthers five fall events.
