Three Eastern Illinois baseball players were selected to play in All-Star games this summer while taking part in their respective summer college baseball leagues across the country.
 
James Love, Nolan Decker and Gavin Parkerson were all selected as All-Stars this summer in their various summer leagues with the games taking place in late June through mid-July.
 
Love is playing this summer in the New England College Baseball League for the Upper Valley Nighthawks.   He was selected as an All-Star at third base and entering the final weeks of the season is among the NECBL leaders in several offensive categories.  Love is hitting .381 with nine doubles and 27 RBI this summer.
 
Decker is pitching this summer in the Prospect League for the Kokomo Creek Chubs.  He was selected as an All-Star as a pitcher.  Entering the final weeks of the season Decker has posted a 2-2 record with one save.  He has a 3.60 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched.
 
Parkerson is pitching this summer in the Northwoods League for the Bismarck Larks.  He will transfer into the program this fall after previously pitching at Parkland College.  Entering the final weeks of the season Parkerson has posted a 1-0 record with four saves.  He has a 1.72 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched.
