Eastern Illinois women's golf opened the 2026-27 season on Monday playing in the 36-hole Youngstown State Roseann Schwartz Invitational.Ā The one-day event was held at Avalon at Buhl in Hermitage, Pa.

As a team Eastern Illinois placed seventh in a field of 11 schools with Ohio State the event winner and the Buckeyes' Matilde Santilli the individual medalist with a 36-hole score of two-under par 138.

EIU had seven golfers participate in the event with five counting in the team scoring and two playing as individuals.

Meera Upadhyay shot a low round of 75 for the Panthers in the opening round before closing with a round of 77 to tie for 18th with a 36-hole total of 152.

Addison Kenney joined Upadhyay with back-to-back rounds in the 70s carding an opening round 78 before a closing 77.Ā The 36-hole score of 155 tied for 27th.

Mya Mirocha and
Sophia Miller both finished tied for 41st posting 36-holes scores of 159.Ā Mirocha had a closing round of 76 with Miller shooting 77.Ā

With four rounds in the 70s in the final round, EIU shot a closing round of 307 and shot 625 as a team total for the event.Ā The 625 team score ranks as eighth best team score in school history for a 36-hole tournament while the 307 score landed tied for the ninth best in school history.

Isabelle Boudreau was the final golfer in the scored five golfers in the event.Ā She tied for 59th with a score of 165 closing with a round of 82.

Morgan Grant and Nunnaphat Sangstittiphan played as individuals for EIU in the event.Ā Grant was tied for 54th with a score of 163 opening with a round of 81.Ā Sangstittiphan was 74th in the tournament with a score of 177 and low closing round of 87.
