2009:
Played in 25 of 31 matches, including the first 22, as the primary team setter... also shared court quarterback duties along with fellow setter Chrissie Albers when EIU ran a 5-2 offensive scheme... notched 40+ assists in eight contests... dished out a career-best 49 in a four-set win over Southern Utah at the Denver Invite... finished with 856 total assistsa... in OVC matches, she sported the seventh best average as her 426 assists joined Chrissie Albers’s 260 total, giving EIU the distinction of having two setters ranked in league Top 10 stat numbers... earned double-digit dig numbers 14 times, upping a season-best 14 attacks in a tough four-set home loss to eventual OVC champion JSU... finished with seven 40+ assists/10+ dig performances... assisted in blocking five kill attempts versus TTU, also a season high... nailed a pair of aces at both JSU and EKU... OVC Top 10 Ranking: 5th/7th in assists (9.84/9.47 aps) for the season/OVC, respectively... OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
AT PARKLAND:
Transferred to EIU following two excellent seasons at Parkland College, located just up I-57 in Champaign... earned numerous junior college honors including being named a NJCAA First Team All-American, AVCA All-American, M-WAC and Region 24 ‘Player of the Year’, and NJCAA First Team Academic All-American... the Cobras finished in third place at the NJCAA nationals in 2008, whereupon she earned a spot on the National All-Tournament squad... named as Parkland’s ‘Female Athlete of the Year’... two-time First Team all-conference honoree.
GALESBURG HS:
Played for Marla Clay at Galesburg HS, where she was a four-year varsity starter in volleyball as well as member of the basketball and track squads for three and two years, respectively... honors included All-State Honorable Mention, West Big 6 All-Conference First Team, Quincy All-Tourney squad, All-State Special Mention... a two-time team captain... member of the squad that earned a first-ever Western Big 6 Co-Championship and Regional title as well... finished career by breaking school records for kills, digs, aces and service points, to name just a few... four-year member of the High Honor Roll, earning Illinois State Scholar and Western 6 Academic All-Conference kudos.
PERSONAL:
No. 1 sports highlight was “winning third place at the NJCAA National Tournament in 2008”... her parents have had the biggest influence on her career “because they are my biggest fans and push me to do my best.”
