SENIOR (2012): Played in 10 games, making two starts… missed most of the season due to an injury… posted a .231 (3-for-13) batting average… scored five runs… went 2-for-5 with two runs in his first game of the year on April 11 against Illinois College… finished his career with a .257 batting average, 43 hits, 23 runs and 11 RBI. 

JUNIOR (2011): Played in 39 games, making 34 starts all at second base… hit .272 on the year with 31 hits, 13 runs and 10 RBIs… was 2-for-2 in stolen bases… hit his first career home run with EIU on April 16 against Tennessee Tech… went 4-for-11 with four runs and three RBIs in the doubleheader at Morehead State on April 10… posted three hits, going 3-for-5 with two runs at Austin Peay in the first game of the doubleheader on April 2... had six, two-out RBIs… posted six multi-hit games… had a .352 batting average in OVC contests… also hit .381 (8-for-21) with runners in scoring position and .350 (14-for-40) during OVC play.

SOPHOMORE (2010): Played 15 games, making three starts all at second base… hit .208 on the year with five hits, a double and a run scored… scored a run and posted a hit at Illinois State on May 12… went 3-for-9 as a pinch hitter.

FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 10 games, making one start… made his first career start against Illinois College on April 23… collected his first career hit with EIU on April 1 versus Chicago State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-time letterwinner in baseball… also lettered twice in football… selected to the Southwest Suburban Conference First Team in 2007 and 2008… was named to the Kankakee County Daily Journal All-Area Team during junior and senior seasons… was a two-time captain in baseball and football… helped high school team to a conference title in 2008… played for the Illinois Angels in the summer… played for Kevin Arthur and Craig Bundy.

PERSONAL: Son of Keith and Laurie Schweigert… no relation to teammate Tyler Schweigert… was a member of the Illinois Little League State Champions that finished second at the 2002 Little League World Series… majoring in kinesiology and sports studies.
