REDSHIRT-SENIOR (2012): Was an OVC First Team selection… also earned All-OVC Tournament honors… played in 56 games, making 55 starts… led the team in home runs with 16, tied for the fourth most in the conference… also had 13 doubles, 30 runs and 38 RBI… posted a .557 slugging percentage and a .316 on-base percentage… hit .314 (33-for-105) in OVC play… had 13 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games… became EIU’s career leader in home runs on May 26, hitting his 40th homer in the Panthers 7-6 win over SEMO in the OVC Tournament… finished his career with a .275 batting average (196-for-712) in 197 games played, tied for the sixth most in school history… also finished with 140 RBI (fifth most in school history), 45 doubles (ninth most in school history) and 109 runs. 

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2011): Played in 48 games, making 48 starts… hit .266 with a team-leading 37 RBIs… also had 13 doubles and scored 27 runs… hit a team-leading 11 home runs, tied for the third most in the OVC… posted a .525 slugging percentage… was 20for-2 in stolen bases… hit .294 with runners in scoring position… also hit .818 (9-for-11) with a runner on third base and two outs… had seven, two-out RBIs… hit .303 in OVC contests with a .671 slugging percentage… recorded 13 multi-hit games and a team-leading nine multi-RBI games… posted four RBIs in a game against Eastern Kentucky on March 27, at Austin Peay on April 2 and at Morehead State on April 10… posted two home runs in a game twice, at Morehead State on April 10 and at UT Martin on April 30… finished the doubleheader at Morehead State with four hits, five runs, six RBIs and two homers.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2010): Played in 52 games, making 51 starts… hit .292 with 57 hits, 39 RBIs and 29 runs… also shared the team lead with 13 doubles… posted 19, two-out RBIs… had 15 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games… posted a .436 slugging percentage and a .332 on-base percentage… hit .346 (28-for-81) with runners in scoring position… hit .294 with a .412 slugging percentage in OVC contests… went 3-for-5 with two runs and a season-high five RBIs versus Army on March 16… had a season-high four hits against Missouri on April 27.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 31 games, making 24 starts… started behind the plate 20 times and made four starts as the designated hitter… hit .277 on the year with 28 hits, 23 RBIs, 19 runs and eight home runs… hit a home run in his first at-bat of the season at Southeastern Louisiana State on Feb. 20… had nine, two-out RBIs... posted seven multi-hit and multi-RBI games… drove in a season-high four runners on April 11 at UT Martin, going 3-for-6 with three runs in the second game of the doubleheader… also had three hits at Chicago State on March 24 and against Indiana State on April 8.

FRESHMAN (2008): Granted a medical redshirt after sustaining a back injury… played in 10 games, making nine starts… hit .276 on the year with eight hits, four runs, three RBIs and two doubles… posted a two out, two-RBI double in his first collegiate game at Southeastern Louisiana State on Feb. 23… went 3-for-4 with a run versus Bucknell on March 11.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in baseball… also lettered twice in basketball and once in football… recipient of the 2007 IHSA Class A Player of the Year Award… helped lead team to a state title in 2007… named Metro-East Baseball Coaches Association Illinois Player of the Year as a senior… was an Illinois Prep Baseball Report All-State selection and top-50 prospect in 2007… earned all-area honors as a junior and senior by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Belleville News-Democrat… also earned All-Cahokia Conference honors as a senior… was a team captain… also played for the Waterloo American Legion team… played for Dustin Nail.

PERSONAL: Son of Tom and Vicki Thoma… his cousin is former Panther baseball player Josh Mueller… majoring in psychology.
