2010:
Roark pitched in a team-high 24 games, all in relief… closed out both ends of the Austin Peay doubleheader to earn saves… was also the winning pitcher in relief in game two of the doubleheader sweep at South Florida… limited opposing hitters to a .268 batting average against with two outs in an inning, the top mark among EIU relievers… did not give up a run in any of his four appearances during the seven-game homestand… pitched in eight of the 10 midweek games… retired the only two batters he faced with runners on first and second and EIU clinging to a 2-0 lead to close out the opener of the Austin Peay series… later in the game, he picked a runner off second base before even throwing a pitch in the seventh inning of the nightcap and EIU leading 4-2… pitched a season-high 3 2/3 innings in his win at South Florida… struck out three in an inning and two-thirds of scoreless relief in the nightcap of the Eastern Kentucky doubleheader… worked a scoreless ninth inning at Illinois… pitched two scoreless innings of relief in the OVC Tournament game against Murray State.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Roark played his first two collegiate seasons at Joliet Junior College, helping Joliet win the 2008 NJCAA Division III national championship… named the MVP of the 2008 JUCO World Series… earned First Team All-American honors in 2008 after going 12-1 with a 1.06 ERA and 119 Ks in 83 innings pitched… Joliet was also the runner-up at the 2007 JUCO World Series… attended Augusta State (Georgia) in the fall of 2008 before transferring to EIU at the beginning of the 2009 spring semester.

HIGH SCHOOL: he played for coaches Kevin Feeney and Chad Farrell… also played football and basketball… two-time All-Interstate Eight Conference honoree as an upperclassman… named all-state and All-Area by the Kankakee Daily Journal and Joliet Herald News as a junior… member of IHSA Class A state championship teams in 2003 and 2005; his team also took third in state in 2004… all-conference and all-state in football as a senior… all-conference in basketball as a junior… also played for the Beecher Muskies summer team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was striking out the final batter to win the JUCO World Series at Joliet… his father has been a major influence on his sports career because “he always pushed me to my full potential”… most admires his former coach Lodi Vercelli because “he is well respected and always there if you need any advice”… his brother Tanner was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 2008 MLB Draft… son of Toby and Jodi RoarkMAJOR: Kinesiology and Sports Studies.
