Biography

2007: Brenner played in 15 games and started 11, including the final six games of the year… was diagnosed with a knee injury early in the season but did not let it prevent her from being a contributor to the defensive unit the rest of the season… averaged 89.5 minutes per game while starting those final six games of the season… played the entire game six times, including must-win games against Jacksonville State and Murray State in the opening-round of the OVC Tournament… one of 11 players to log at least 1,000 minutes for the season.

2006: Brenner played in all 20 games and started 16, including the first seven and final seven matches of the season… scored her first goal in the win at Indiana State… attempted a season-high two shots in that game, putting both on goal… key member of the EIU defense that shutout seven opponents and surrendered just five goals in OVC play… served as team co-captain.

2005: Brenner played in 18 games and started five times, including three OVC contests… saw action off the bench in both OVC Tournament games… tallied 10 shots and two shots on goal… recorded two shots in four straight games between Sept. 9-18.

2004: Played in 12 matches, seeing action in the final eight matches of the season including the NCAA College Cup match at Notre Dame… started against Tennessee-Martin, Southeast Missouri and SMS… six shots, one shot on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in soccer… won three Big 12 Conference and four regional titles… two-time sectional champs… advanced to Elite Eight in 2001 and 2003, Sweet Sixteen in 2002… All-Sectional last spring… Champaign News Gazette First Team All-Area.

PERSONAL: Member of the Little Illini Soccer Club, undefeated in 2002 (24-0)… No. 1 sports highlight was finishing the year undefeated with the Little Illini… her coaches have been a major influence, "they have been there every step of the way, the good and bad, pushing me to perform my best"… most admires her twin sister Bailey… her dad played football at Pacific and sister Kaitlyn played volleyball at Bradley… enjoys reading, working, sleeping and playing soccer… daughter of Dana and Kathy BrennerMAJOR: Kinesiology and Sports Studies.
