2007: Somers played in 12 games and started four times, including the first three contests of the year… also started the Ball State win… played 40-plus minutes in the first three games, including a season-high 57 minutes in the opener at Eastern Michigan… saw action in the first four OVC contests.

HIGH SCHOOL: Somers was a four-year varsity letter-winner for coaches Jon and Bodo Fritzen… two-time team captain as an upperclassman earned team MVP and sportsmanship award honors her senior year… all-sectional and intercity team honoree… led the team in assists as a sophomore and junior… Bloomington Pantagraph All-Area her junior year… all-sectional honorable mention as a junior… U-High reached the Elite Eight and Final Four of the IHSA state playoffs each of her underclassman years, respectively… four-year honor roll student… also played for the Five Star Soccer Club, winning team titles in Kalamazoo, Mich., Muscatine and the Siege at St. Francis.

PERSONAL: Her sister Ellie has been a major influence on her sports career because "she was a big inspiration to continue my career after high school because even though she chose the school with no scholarship offer, she played for a few years and enjoyed it"… most admires her former coaches Dave Maddox and Keith Bull because "I have never met more dedicated coaches than these two. Seeing the way the team connects to them and each other is the greatest thing I’ve seen"… daughter of Bill and Shari Sommers… MAJOR: Undecided.
