Biography

2007: Second Team All-OVCOVC All-Tournament Team… Steinhaus played in all 20 games and started 18 times… scored twice in wins against Eastern Michigan and Austin Peay to finish her career with four two-goal performances… also scored against Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay and Southeast Missouri… her eight goals this season were the most by a Panther since 2004… finished her career ranked among the active OVC leaders in goals, points and game-winning goals… with goals in the back-to-back games against APSU and SEMO, it marked the fifth time in her career that she scored in consecutive games… her goals against APSU (3:07) and WKU (3:12) were the two quickest goals scored by a Panther this season… logged 80-plus minutes in each of the last eight games of the year, including a season-high 92 in the overtime win at Murray State in the opening round of the OVC Tournament… registered a team-high five shots in the OVC Tournament loss to Samford en route to earning All-Tourney Team honors… Eastern posted a 17-3-1 record when she scored during her career… OVC Rankings: second in game-winning goals, fifth in goals and seventh in shots… EIU All-Time Rankings: second in game-winning goals (11), fourth in goals (25) and fifth in points (57).

2006: OVC Player of the Week (Oct. 31)
… Steinhaus started all 20 games, one of four Panthers to do so… led the team with five goals and three game-winners… scored the game-winner in 1-0 victories over Tennessee-Martin and Illinois State… scored game-tying goals against DePaul and at Samford… only player to score a game-tying goal against Samford, the OVC regular-season champs, at Bulldog Field in the regular-season… her goal at Illinois State helped EIU end a six-game losing streak to the Redbirds and led to her third career OVC Player of the Week honors… scored the game-winner in EIU's first victory of the season, at Indiana State… tallied her first assist since her freshman year with a helper on Kellie Floyd's game-winner against Southeast Missouri… led the team in shots and shots on goal (31)… eight of her 17 career goals have been game-winners… EIU is 13-1-1 when she has scored a goal during her career… Top 10 OVC Rankings: second in game-winning goals (3), eighth in shots (50) and tied for eighth in goals (5).

2005: Steinhaus played in 16 games and started eight times… both of her goals were the game-winner in a 1-0 EIU victory… two game-winners ranked tied for second on the team… scored late in the first half at Morehead State as EIU clinched the right to host the OVC Tournament… scored late in the game against Jacksonville State on Senior Day.

2004: OVC Freshman of the Year... First Team All-OVC... OVC Offensive Player of the Week (10/19 and 11/2)… Played in all 21 matches and started 10… Third Panther to win OVC Freshman of the Year and first since Beth Liesen in 2000… team-leader in goals, points, assists and co-leader in game-winning goals… first EIU freshman to lead the team outright in three offensive categories since Liesen in 2000… only the fifth player in EIU history to score double figures in goals in a single season… scored seven goals in seven matches between Oct. 15 and Nov. 5… scored the game-winner in three consecutive EIU victories, becoming the first EIU player since Liesen in 2000 to accomplish such a feat… two goals against Murray State and Western Illinois… OVC Top 10 Rankings: tied for second in assists and game-winning goals, third in points and tied for third in goals.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time all-conference and academic all-conference… three-time team MVP… 2004 WJOL Athlete of the Year… four-year first team all-area selection… member of 2004 Lemont Cup All-Star team… four soccer letters.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was being a three-time MVP and captain for HS soccer team… her club coach and HS coach have been a major influence, "they have both been there for me on and off the field.
