2011: Had a nice junior campaign as she finished the year with the squad's second highest batting mark at .339... nailed 40 hits, with 13 extra-base shots... fired off six doubles and tied for second with seven homeruns, including a first-inning grandslam as EIU routed OVC rival TSU... collected 22 RBI and 67 total bases... finished with a .568 slug mark... walked just six times... played at catcher in 33 of her 39 starts, where she was credited with 244 total put-outs... threw-out four baserunners attempting to steal, while picking off an opponent as well... had 11 multi-hit games and seven multiple RBI contests... at one point in the season she enjoyed a seven-game hitting streak... OVC Top 10 Rankings: 5th in slugging % (.688) in OVC-only contests... EIU Single-Season Rankings: T-5th in homers (7), 8th in slugging % (.568), and T-8th for sac flies (2)... 2010: Playing in 46 games she started as catcher in 37 of those, with two more starts as the designated hitter... finished with a .193 batting average as she connected for 21 hits, with eight extra-base hits that included three doubles... her five bombs helped the squad set a new single-season mark... in addition, she was one of six different Panthers to collect a homer in the 10-2 rout at Southeast Missouri, setting a new school and OVC mark in the process... had an 18 RBI season which included going 4-for-6 at the plate with runners on third base... defensively, had 10 assists which included aiding in 186 total put-outs... also assisted in throwing out seven opponent base runners... tied or set new game highs in twelve different statistical categories... EIU Career Rankings: Ranked eighth for career home runs.
2009: OVC All-Newcomer Team ... started in 44 of the 46 games she played in as a freshman... finished with the second-highest batting average, with a 37-for-126 (.294) performance... tallied a .381 slug percentage, recording five extra-base hits, including three dingers... scored 19 runs off her bat... her three base-clearers helped the squad set a new single-season homer mark... nailed three homershad the second highest on-base percentage of the season, going .364... started 40 of her 44 games behind home plate, while also the designated hitter four times... hit mostly in the fifth thru seventh spot in the lineup, with a high of 17 times at the seventh order... hit an impressive 5-for-7 (.714) with EIU runners on third base, while hitting 18-of-34 (.529) with runners in scoring position... the Panthers picked up three wins via her play at the plate, as she nailed two key singles to score the winning runs, first against Virginia and again in the bottom of the ninth inning in Eastern’s win over Drake... her two-out, two-run bomb at league foe Tennessee Tech scored the Panthers’ 10th and 11th run in EIU’s 11-0 five-inning rout of the Golden Eagles... finished with just five passed balls and one of two catchers that helped the Panther throwers limit the opposition to a .257 batting average.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hailee was a four-year varsity letter-winner for coach Darin Carr… two-time All-Marmonte League honoree… team MVP in 2008, Big Bat award winner in 2007… four-year scholar-athlete and honor roll student… also played for the 18-and-under (gold) Pacific Coast Predators, serving as team captain from 2006-08… two-time Colorado Sparkler All-Star participant.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was hitting a game-tying, three-run homer… her family has been a major influence on her sports career because “they are a solid support system that can never be broken”… most admires her former coach Frank Blauvelt because “he was more than just a coach on the field, he is a life coach who has seen me at my best and worst.”
OFF THE FIELD WITH HAILEE: Majoring in psychology... daughter of John & Debbie Hanna... mac ‘n cheese & tator tots are her favorite foods... had the pleasure of traveling to Kaui, Hawai’i... Reese Witherspon in Legally Blonde is her favorite role and movie... is a big L.A.
