REDSHIRT SENIOR (2011): Played in 33 games, making 25 starts… hit .278 on the year with 27 hits, 17 RBIs and 15 runs… posted a .454 slugging percentage… posted six, two-out RBIs… had five multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games… batted .333 in OVC contests with a .538 slugging percentage… posted a season-high six RBIs at Morehead State in the second game of the doubleheader… went 6-for-9 with nine RBIs, seven runs, two doubles and home run in the doubleheader at Morehead State on April 10… went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI at Memphis on March 20.

SENIOR (2010): Was redshirted.

JUNIOR (2009): Played in 38 games, making 27 starts… hit .345 on the year… posted a .536 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage… collected 38 hits, 29 runs and 28 RBIs… also had six doubles and five home runs… had 18, two-out RBIs… batted .386 (17-for-44) with runners in scoring position… batted .327 during OVC games with a .538 slugging percentage… also hit .417 with runners in scoring position during OVC contests… had 10 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games… posted his first career hit with EIU at Southeastern Louisiana State on Feb. 21… scored three runs in a game on four occasions… drove in four RBIs at Morehead State on March 21, against Indiana State on April 8 and versus Eastern Kentucky on May 15… had a season-high three hits versus Milwaukee on March 8 and at Southeast Missouri State on May 2… went 10-for-19 with seven RBIs and no strikeouts in the month of May.

LINCOLN TRAIL C.C. (2007-08): Was selected to the NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention Team in 2008… also earned Great Rivers Athletic Conference First Team Accolades… led the team to a conference and regional title in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in baseball… earned all-conference, all-district, all-region and all-state honors as a senior… also played for the Nashville Navigators, Diamonds Baseball Club and SKRA Outlaws summer teams… played for Tim Huizen.

PERSONAL: Son of Joe Samuels and Holly Lawrence… majoring in sociology.
