SENIOR (2011): Played in 19 matches, making 18 starts… logged 1,639 minutes on the year, the second most on the team… took nine shots (three on goal) as a defender… scored her first career goal in the OVC Tournament against UT Martin on Nov. 3… played in 7,124 minutes throughout her career, the most by any player in school history… helped the defense post a 1.22 goals against average, the third best in the conference.

JUNIOR (2010): Played and started in all 21 matches… took 10 shots on the year and three shots on goal… helped anchor a defense that posted a 0.71 goals against average, the 24th best average in the nation.

SOPHOMORE (2009): Was one of four players to start in all 20 matches… earned OVC Second-Team Honors… logged 1907 minutes, the second most on the team… helped anchor a defense that posted a 1.08 goals against average.

FRESHMAN (2008): Was one of only two players to start in all 19 matches… named to the OVC Newcomer Team and Second Team… logged a team-high 1,691 minutes… recorded an assist on the overtime game-winning goal at Tennessee Tech on Oct. 17… helped anchor a defense that posted a 1.68 goals against average.

ARIZONA STATE: Attended Arizona State University in the fall of 2007 before transferring to Eastern Illinois.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year varsity starter… named the Area Player of the Year by the Chicago Sun-Times as a senior… also earned all-area honors from the Daily Herald and the Chicago Tribune… selected to the Mid-Suburban League West Conference Team in 2007… helped her team to a runner-up finish at the 2007 IHSA Tournament… was a member of the Sockers FC club team that finished in second-place at the U.S. Club Soccer National Championships in 2006… was an honor roll student… played for Steve Keller.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jeff and Lori Balek… majoring in business management.
