As a right side hitter, Katherine earned her collegiate stripes as a member of the NAIA Robert Morris squad... earned Honorable Mention All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference kudos as a true freshman... actually saw action in all 35 matches where she led the team with 255 kills (2.18 kps) off 764 total attacks... her lethal serve again led all Eagles via 35 aces (0.30 aps)... finished 16 ups shy of earning top defensive numbers as well as the RMU starting libero notched just 15 more digs then Katherine, but she still ended up digging 340 total attacks (2.91 dps)... also tabbed to two All-Tournament squads over the course of the year... unfortunately the Eagles ended the tough 2009 season with a 4-31 overall mark and 2-8 league record, in addition her outstanding statistical numbers do not carry over to Division I play at EIU.

PERSONAL ... Kat credits her mom for having the biggest influence on her sports career, “because I remember when I was in 7th grade, all my friends were trying out for club volleyball teams and I wasn’t sure if I want to, or if I would like it... but she made me tryout that year and I ended up making the first team and have come to love the sport”... besides playing both inside and beach volleyball, she enjoys riding her family’s horse when she can... also plays ultimate frisbee and enjoys dancing... currently driving a 1999 Chevy Cavalier... likes listening to a variety of music, including pop, rock, rap and R&B... one of her ultimate goals after graduating from EIU is to work for the Chicago White Sox as a company manager.
