2013-14 ... Paced all Panthers with an impressive 11-5 singles mark, splitting time at No. 5 or No. 6... earned a nice 6-2 OVC-only record as well... went 7-9 overall in doubles action, playing at the top of the lineup alongside either Robert Skolik or Grant Thompson... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2012-13 ... Ended his junior campaign with a 7-8 overall singles mark... saw action at No. 2 thru No. 5 singles, while going 4-2 at the No. 4 spot in the lineup... finished with 3-4 league tally... registered a nice 7-3 doubles tally, including a 4-1 OVC record, when teamed with newcomer Robert Skolik at No. 2 duos.

2011-12 ... Earned a 6-5 mark in singles, which includes going 5-4 at No. 4 and a 1-0 in No. 5 play... finished with a 3-5 record in league play... in doubles he finished 8-4 overall, going 2-0 at the top of the lineup and 5-4 at No. 2 duos when teamed with Warren Race.

2010-11 ... Finished with an even 8-8 singles mark as a true freshman... played mostly at No. 5 spot in the lineup... had perfect 4-0 record while competing at the No. 6 spot... went 6-9 in No. 3 doubles, while teamed with Warren Race... that recorded included a nice 5-1 mark in OVC action... also saw action alongside departing senior Vance Davis.

HIGH SCHOOL ... Played three years of varsity tennis for coaches Dan Brown and Greg Contro at Naperville Central HS... earned two captain patches... three-time All-DVC... also earned All-State honors three times, including Second Team once and Honorable Mention twice... individual DVC champion... three-time All-Academic honoree... his high school squad twice earned DVC championships and were three-time Sectional champions.

PERSONAL ... An education major... son of Jerry & Judy Bauman... No. 1 sports moment was "when I played this one tournament the summer of my junior year in high school, where I had been exhausted the whole match... it was 105-degrees on the court and I ended up getting sick because of the heat... both myself and my competitor ended up cramping and would end up in the hospital that night"... admires his hometown coach "because he has coached me since 7th grade and has really pusehd me throughout my high school career and taught me what it takes to win"... his brother, Greg, also played tennis on an NCAA DIII squad.

OFF THE COURT WITH KEVIN ... 'K-Bomb' chose EIU, "because I enjoyed the atmosphere and thought it was the right school for me"... feels some of Eastern's advantage over other instate and OVC squads are "having a real good academic program such as education, which is what I am majoring in and the schol really looks after their athletes"... also enjoys playing baseball, basketball, football, ping pong, and swimming... currently driving a 2007 Honda CRV... enjoys dining on deep dish pizza and cheeseburgers, but doesn't care for meatloaf and sweet potatoes... favorite tv shows include Seinfield, The Office and Eastbound and Down... recently enjoyed taking Prof. McInerney's Kinesiology and Sports Studies class... since coming to EIU he has learned "that life is more difficult without your parents"... lives by the saying "carpe diem"... a goal he hopes to obtain while at Eastern includes "achieving good grades and have an above average record in conference".
