2012-13 ... Saw no action on the court during his first season as a Panther.

HIGH SCHOOL ... A multi-sport athlete at John Hersey HS in Arlington Heights... competed under coaches Daniel Caporusso, Tom Schwab and Cece Cahill as a member of the varsity tennis, golf and diving squads... earned a fourth place conference finish in tennis.

PERSONAL ... Planning on majoring in kinesiology and sports studies ... son of Kathy Wendell... No. 1 sports highlight was "back in seventh grade, when I scored the game winning goal with nine seconds left to help lead my hockey team into the final eight of the state playoffs"... his grandfather was a former professional football player.

OFF THE COURT WITH JACOB ... 'Wendy' chose EIU "because I really liked the campus"... besides tennis, also enjoys skiing, paintball, fishing and ping pong... currently driving a 1996 Nissan Maxima... favorite food is cheeseburgers... loves the movie Miracle on Ice... can't go anywhere without his wallet... would enjoys switching places with Rafael Nadal for a day, "because I would want to experience what it feels like to be a professional athlete"... his favorite quote comes from John Ewing -- "Any man can win when things go his way, it's the man who overcomes adversity that is the true champion."
