2013-14 ... Transferred from EIU following the 2012-13 season.

2012-13 ... Saw action in three freestyle and backstroke events as a sophomore... had a steller Summit League meet as she improved her Top 10 time, while setting a new school record in the 100-Back via a 57.10 finish in the prelims... also helped the Panthers set new school records as she swam the opening legs in both the 200 and 400-Medley Relays... also registered the top season finish in the 50-Back, while ranking in the Top 3 season times for the 200-Back.

2011-12 ... Made the most of her first season as a Panther by swimming the first leg of the 200-Medley Relay squad that set a new school record at the Summit League meet... also added her name to the record books in a pair of individual events as she now owns the seventh and 10th fastest Panther time in the 100 and 200-Back, respectively... also saw action in the 50, 100 and 200-Free.

HIGH SCHOOL ... Swam and was member of track and field squad for coaches Jo Grogan and Becca Swigert at Clifton Central HS… combined for seven letters as members of both the swimming and track squad... finished as the three-year record holder in the 100-Back.

PERSONAL ... Majoring in community health with a minor in psychology… daughter of Shannon & Beth Anderson… born on December 15... No. 1 sports highlight was “breaking the EIU school mark in the 200-Medley Relay at the 2012 Summit League meet.”

OUT OF THE WATER WITH MACKENZIE ... ‘Big Mac’ chose EIU “because it just felt right… I didn’t feel like I was making a tough decision when I decided on Eastern”… feels that several of EIU’s advantages over other schools include “the location of the school… Charleston is kind of a small town comopared to the towns of other schools… it is also a good distance away from home… it’s more affordable and still offers a variety of classes”… enjoys running, climbing, volleyball, football and basketball… currently driving a 2005 Saturn Vue… likes dining on mac 'n cheese… favorite tv shows include The Office and How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family… her advice for a younger swimmer is “in the end, looking back at everything that was sacrificed, I wouldn’t have it any other way… it’s worth seeing all your hard work pay off”… her family owns a German Shorthaired Poniter named Lunna... her goals at EIU include “discovering my full potential as both an athlete and a student.”
