2013 ... Saw action in six contests as a true freshman... twice scored at least one try, while dishing out an assist at Kentucky and adding eight solo tackles... registered five assisted stops at Tennessee and scampered for a run over 20-at Grand Valley State.

HIGH SCHOOL ...  Earned varsity letters while playing volleyball and competed on the track & field squad at Wethersfield HS just outside Kewanee, Ill... elected as team captain during both her junior and senior track & field seasons... she earned nine state track medals over her career... as a team, Wethersfield earned conference, regional and sectional championships durig her junior campaign... she graduated in the top 25% of her class... earned all-academic conference kudos all four seasons in both volleyball and track & field.

PERSONAL ...  Credits her family for having the biggest influence on her career, "because they are always here to support me"... plans on majoring in science and earn a teaching certificate while at EIU... daughter of Andrew & Christa Fisher.

OFF THE PITCH WITH SARA ... 'Fish' chose EIU "because they have a great teaching program... plus I get to run and play rugby for them"... feels some of Eastern's advantage over other schools incluces "the small size but with lots of opportunities... we are able to know our teachers and ask them all kinds of questions"... currently driving a 1998 Honda CRV... enjoys dining on pizza, fish, mashed potatoes and all kinds of veggies and fruits... but doesn't care to eat shepard's pie... can't go anywhere without her wallet or phone... her favorite vacation memory was "when we went to Portugal to compete and have fun"... wishes she could bring her sister to campus with her... favorite quote comes from Ralph Waldo Emerson -- "nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm"... personal goal while at EIU includes "becoming the best science teacher I can be."
