2013 ... Played in all eight games as a true freshman... scampered for a pair of trys at Illinois State... secured four solo tackles at home against Quinnipiac and three times secured an assisted tackle... on two occasions she ran for more than 20-yards.

HIGH SCHOOL ... Member of the Romeoville HS track squad under the guidance of coaches Theodore Rellstab and Daniel Simik... she earned four varsity and academic letters... a 4x200-Meter relay and 40-yard dash record holder... earned all-conference, all-section and all-state kudos... elected as varsity captain while placing sixth at the state meet... Reavis Relays and Andrews Invite champ... also member of the volleyball squad... athletic academic award winner, mayors award and Illinois State Scholar.

PERSONAL ... Her No. 1 personal sports highlight was "earning a sixth place finish at the 3A IHSA state track & field meet"... credits her parents for having the biggest influence on her sports career, "because they are so supportive to the point where other kids are jealous... I couldn't ask for a better mom and step-dad"... played for the Woodridge Wildcats traveling softball club team... daughter of Dwayne & Janine Warner.

OFF THE PITCH WITH KAITLYN ... 'Katie' chose to come to EIU "because of coach Graziano"... feels that EIU's smaller size gives it an advantage over some of the other state universities... enjoys running track, hunting and fishing... hidden talent includes being a part-time clown, making balloon animals while my sister paints faces... drives a 2004 Toyota Camry... her worse job ever was "working at McDonalds for two years"... loves to eat anything her mom cooks, but doesn't care for tomatoes... can't go anywhere without her phone... her best vacation memory was a trip to Mexico... her family owns a miniature pincher/Pekingese named 'Bella'... wishes she could have met deceased actor, Heath Ledger... her advice to a younger athlete is "to start working harder now"... her personal goal while at EIU includes "getting into medical school."
