SENIOR (2009-10): Second Team All-OVC… OVC Player of the Week (March 1)… OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll... Sims played in all 34 games and started 30 times… made at least one field goal in every game but the loss at Miami, which she came off the bench… EIU posted a 65-23 in games she started during her career… scored in double figures 17 times, including three consecutive games on two occasions… posted double-doubles in OVC wins against Tennessee State, Murray State and Austin Peay… helped EIU blowout APSU at home with an impressive 18-point, 13-rebound performance… scored a career-high 21 points in the road win at Tennessee Tech… had 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the loss to Illinois State… scored 18 points in return to her native Texas for the game at SMU… put up 17 points in a season-high 38 minutes in the OVC Tournament semifinal victory against UT Martin… averaged 12.1 points per game and shot 42 percent from 3-point land at home… OVC Rankings: 11th in free throw percentage, 12th in field goal percentage, 13th in scoring and 14th in rebounding… EIU All-Time Rankings: ninth in 3-pointers made and attempted.

Sims played in all 33 games and started 31 times… came off the bench in the regular-season home finale against Murray State so all five EIU seniors could start… also came off the bench at Illinois State… led the team in steals… scored in double-figures 12 times, including four straight in December… was the only player besides Rachel Galligan to connect on a field goal in every game of the season… played her best game of the season at Jacksonville State, recording 19 points and nine rebounds in front of an ESPNU television audience… ranked second on the team in 3-pointers made (38), connecting on multiple triples in a game 10 times… scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-5 from 3-point land, in the home win against Eastern Kentucky… tallied a season-high seven assists in the home win against UT Martin… broke out of an early-season slump with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the win against Mississippi Valley State… played a career-high 40 minutes in the OVC Tournament title game… shot 54 percent from the field, highlighted by a 9-of-17 showing from 3-point land, while averaging 11.2 points per game in December… had more assists than turnovers at home… ranked eighth among the OVC leaders with 28 steals in conference play… made 25 of her 38 3-pointers in OVC play… OVC Rankings: 14th in assists, 15th in 3-point field goal percentage, and 26th in scoring.
SOPHOMORE (2007-08): OVC All-Newcomer Team… OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... two-time OVC Newcomer of the Week (Jan. 28 and March 3)… she played in all 32 games and started the final 27 contests of the season… scored in double-figures 13 times, including three straight on three occasions… led the team in steals and ranked second in scoring, rebounding, assists and 3-pointers made… shot the ball extremely well at the line (14-of-17) and from 3-point land (16-of-26) on the road… averaged 12 points and 7.5 rebounds during EIU’s 5-0 December… led EIU to an overtime victory in the OVC opener against Tennessee Tech with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double, connecting on a season-high seven field goals while playing 40 minutes… led the team in scoring in that game as well as Illinois State (15), Missouri (15), Loyola (13) and Morehead State (15) at home… nearly posted a triple-double in the home win against Eastern Kentucky, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds and eight assists… came through big in the final three home games of the year, scoring 14, 12 and 11… earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors after her 15 points on 3-of-3 shooting from 3-point land in the home win against Morehead State… also took home the award after averaging solid all-around numbers during the final weekend of the regular season… began her EIU career 8-of-11 from 3-point land… would have broken the EIU single-season 3-point percentage record if not for teammate Lindsey Kluempers’ better mark… did not miss a shot in the overtime win at Eastern Kentucky, going 5-of-5 from the field (including 2-of-2 from 3-point land) and 4-of-4 at the free throw line… made a 3-pointer in seven straight games late in the season… OVC Rankings: third in 3-point field goal percentage.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: In her one season at Panola College in Carthage, Texas, Dominique earned All-Region XIV honors… averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game for head coach Tracey Stellato… she ranked 16th in the region in scoring and led Panola to a 20-win season and berth in the semifinals of the Region XIV tournament... redshirted her first year at Panola due to a knee injury.
HIGH SCHOOL: She was a multi-year letter-winner for coach Alex Kovlovatos... also lettered in volleyball, track and soccer… named to the Texas Basketball Magazine All-State Team… District 5-4A MVP… Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Second Team All-Region… averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior… led her Texas Xpress AAU ’86 team to a national championship in her age group… National Honor Society… Dean’s and President’s List student… member of Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honor society.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was ranking among the regional leaders in scoring at Panola… her father has been a major influence on her sports career because “I look up to him in every way possible”… most admires Sacramento Monarchs guard and ESPN analyst Kara Lawson because “she was my coach back in junior high school and made me want to become a better player”… her father played basketball at Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts… daughter of
