Biography
EIU (2007-08): Played at four different singles spots on the season to finish 7-10 overall and 2-7 in the OVC... went 4-4 and 2-1 at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively... teamed with Jeff Rutherford to play exclusively in No. 3 doubles, going 8-6 overall and 5-2 in league action....
EIU (2006-07): Played at No. 2 singles for Panthers posting a 10-11 record... opened season winning six of first eight singles matches... started season playing No. 2 doubles with Sean Bush compiling a 6-3 record... ended year playing No. 1 doubles with Brandon Lenfert finishing year with 5-7 mark...
EIU (2005-06): Compiled a 10-9 record as a freshman playing No. 1 and 2 singles… match record of 9-9 at No. 2 singles while posting a win in his lone No. 1 singles action… doubles record of 13-4 playing a majority of his matches at No. 3 doubles with Jordan Nestrud....
HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped for coach Kobus Botha at Tucks Sports Study Centre in Midrand, South Africa... represented South Africa at the junior international tournaments... was highest ranked junior player at South Africa’s National Tennis Academy in 2004... was class president in 2005....
PERSONAL: Majoring in business management... No. 1 sports highlight was “winning the Super 7 which is South Africa’s biggest tournament and having my family watch me win it”... son of Vesko & Gordana Milicevic....
FUN STUFF: ‘Cadillac’ choose to attend EIU “because it has a small campus, it’s easy to get around, and has beautiful coeds”... besides playing tennis, he also enjoys soccer and volleyball... would like to switch places with Donald Trump for one day, “so that I can prove that money does indeed buy happiness”... enjoyed taking Professor Grunhagen’s marketing class... since coming to EIU he has learned “responsibility, dedication and commitment”... enjoys watching sports, playing the piano and XBox 360... his personal goal at EIU is to “graduate with a 3.50 GPA or better and win the OVC”... his advice to a younger athlete is “remember that even though you’ve got a scholarship and are expected to perform, you should still have fun”....
BLACKBURN SAYS: “Vuk had an outstanding fall season ... and I think he’ll make the most of his senior season this spring.”
