HIGH SCHOOL: For coach Bob Quinn at Heritage HS, Drew played No. 1 Singles all four years and earned All-State honors his sophomore season... member of Honor Roll and student council... played in Junior Davis Cup and several other USTA summer events.... 

PERSONAL: Plans to become a marketing major... credits his parents and uncle for influencing his playing career, “because they pushed me very hard and my uncle, John Krafft, taught me tennis on his own backyard court”... son of Dennis & Amy Grimaldi.... 

FUN STUFF: ‘Drewski’ chose Eastern “because EIU has introduced me to alot of new people and is a great environment to learn all you can about your major”... he enjoys doing stand up comedy... likes eating steak, but hates meatloaf... wishes he could have traded places with John F. Kennedy, “because he was the man”... since coming to EIU he has learned “how to properly manage my time”... his favorite t.v. show is Entourage... his advice to a young athlete is “work hard and only good things will come”... favorite quote comes from Vincent Chase -- “never be first and never be last”.... 

BLACKBURN SAYS: “Drew is an exciting addition to our roster this year... he comes with some solid results as a junior player and he has already made great strides this past fall... his best tennis is ahead of him and I’m excited to see how his game develops this year.”
