BASKETBALL BIO INFORMATION
2021-22 (SOPHOMORE): Joined basketball team in late January to help depleted roster numbers... would appear in five games in final two weeks of the regular season... scored six points to average 1.2 points per game with two points at Belmont, at SIUE and against Morehead State... had three steals against Morehead State... had three rebounds at SIUE... 

FOOTBALL BIO INFORMATION
2021 (RS-FRESHMAN): Appeared in seven games during the 2021 season... saw time as a reserve defensive lineman and was part of a defensive line group that led the OVC in team tackles for loss... had one fumble recovery in win at Tennessee Tech... did not record any other statistics... 

2020 (RS-FRESHMAN): Appeared in four games during the 2020 season played in the spring of 2021... most of playing time was on special teams unit making one tackle in home win over Tennessee Tech... did not record any offensive statistics... 

2019 (FRESHMAN): Played in four games in early portion of season then used redshirt year per NCAA competition rules... did not have any statistics playing as a reserve wide receiver and on special teams unit... 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played football for coach Cameron Pettus at Belleville West HS… helped team post a 7-3 record advancing to the IHSA Class 7A state playoffs… as a senior averaging 15.8 yards per catch with three touchdown receptions… was a starter on the nationally ranked men’s basketball team that won the IHSA Class 4A State Championship averaging 9.3 points per game…

Misc.: older sister Alece Shumpert was a member of the EIU women’s basketball team…
