2025 Eastern Illinois Cheer Tryout Information
* Interested candidates may attend our optional open gym on March 29, 8am-11am. Check in starts at 7:30am. No scoring will be taken at this time.
* Tryouts for the cheer team will be held Saturday, April 5, 2-4:40pm and/or Saturday, April 12, 8-11:30am. Check in starts 30 minutes before each tryout. Feel free to come to one, or both!
* Optional Gym and Tryouts will take place at Groniger Arena

The Eastern Illinois cheer team serves as the cheer team for EIU athletics. The team performs at home athletic events, various events on campus, in Charleston and surrounding businesses and communities...
Members of the Eastern Illinois Cheer and Dance Team must be registered full-time students at EIU beginning in the fall of 2024. Current EIU students that are returning to the team or trying out must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be eligible for the 2025-26 Cheer or Pink Panther Dance Teams.
