Radio broadcasts of selected Eastern Illinois athletic events are broadcast by the on-campus station Hit Mix 88.9 FM (WEIU-FM). EIU currently has live broadcasts available for all football, men's and women's basketball games. In addition to being carried over the air waves all broadcasts can also be heard around the world on the internet at www.weiu.net Veteran broadcaster Mike Bradd serves as the voice for EIU Panthers providing play-by-play action for football and men's basketball. During the season color commentary is provided on Panther football and men's basketball by Dave Kidwell. Rob Calhoun serves as the women's play-by-play announcer. Lane Blickem serves as color commentator for home women's games. During the football season listen to games on the Panther Football Radio Network which includes coverage of more than 1/3 of the state of Illinois on WEIU 88.9 FM (Coles County), WSVZ 98.3 FM (Shelbyville/Effingham), WHOW 1520 AM / 92.3 FM (Clinton) and WMKR 94.3FM (Taylorville)
