SENIOR (2019): appeared in seven games on the mound during his senior season..finished the 2019 season with a 8.44 ERA through 5.1 innings...recorded nine strikeouts on the season..had his longest outing against Robert Morris (Peoria) on April, 23rd pitching two innings..he also recorded a season-high five strikeouts against Robert Morris.

Lake Land College: Slifer is a right handed pitcher that served as the closer at nearby Lake Land College for coach Bill Jackson.  This past season he posted five saves allowing only eight hits in 17.1 innings of work on the mound.  He finished with a 2-0 record posting 22 strikeouts and an earned run average of 1.56.  He was the winning pitcher as Lake Land beat nationally ranked John A. Logan College in the regionals.  Slifer played high school baseball at Saint Joseph-Ogden High School where he was a special mention All-Area selection as a senior picking up 41 strikeouts on the mound.
