Capistrano Valley HS: Played for Head Coach Clemente Bonilla at Capistrano Valley High School in Aliso Viejo, California... was a first-team All-San Joaquin League member and a CIF Division 6 Southern Section Champion his junior season... during his junior season, he appeared in 15 games on the mound with a 4-2 record and a 2.48 ERA... he allowed just 35 hits in 48 innings of work while striking out 52 opposing batters...
