2008: Wilson played in 18 games and started twice, including the season opener in left field… did whatever the team needed: pinch hit and ran, served as the bullpen catcher and pitched in relief twice… also started the Western Michigan game during the spring break trip… registered an RBI single during EIU’s six-run eighth inning in the middle game of the Northwestern State series… singled and caught the final inning of the opener of the Southeast Missouri series… scored the game-tying run as a pinch runner in the ninth inning of the walk-off win against SEMO in the rubber game… retired both batters he faced in the middle game of the Southeastern Louisiana series… also pitched in the midweek game at Saint Louis.

PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Wilson played at the University of Indianapolis last season, registering a victory and three saves in 14 appearances on the mound.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: He was a First Team All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference pick and team MVP in 2006 at Lake Land College in Mattoon… also an all-academic team performer.

HIGH SCHOOL: He was a four-year letter-winner in baseball and soccer, playing baseball for coach Bob Lawrence, at Charleston High School… also lettered twice in basketball… pitched six no-hitters during his high school career, including four in one season… four-time All-Apollo Conference honoree… two-time All-Area selection by the Decatur Herald… tied single-season (12) and career (27) home run records at CHS… help lead the CHS soccer team to a Class A ISHA State Tournament Final Four appearance in 2002… four-year high honor roll student.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was hitting a walk-off grand slam against John A. Logan CC as a freshman at Lake Land… most admires coach Lawrence because "he always motivated me when I was not competing to capability"… his brother Josh currently plays baseball at Lake Land and has signed an NLI to join EIU for the 2009 season… son of Don and Bonnie Wilson… MAJOR: Kinesiology & Sports Studies.
