FRESHMAN (2012): Played in eight games, making two starts… posted a .100 batting average (1-for-10)… played in his first career game against Mississippi Valley on Feb. 17… made his first start against Southeastern Louisiana on Feb. 26… posted his first career hit at Western Illinois on April 24. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three year letterwinner in baseball… also played football and basketball… named player of the year by the city of Madison, Wis., in 2011 after hitting .415 with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and 11 doubles… was a three-time all-city honoree and a three-time All-Big 8 Conference First Team selection… played club baseball for the GRB Rays.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Paul Strommen and Jude Leimer… majoring in kinesiology and sports studies.
