JUNIOR (2012): Taken in the 25th round (No. 759) by the Houston Astros of the 2012 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft… played in 57 games, making 56 starts… recorded a .335 batting average (69-for-206), the second highest on the team… scored 37 runs and had 36 RBI… posted 17 extra-base hits including seven home runs… had a .490 slugging percentage and a .429 on-base percentage… had a team-high 15 stolen bases, the sixth most in the OVC… recorded 20 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games… hit .326 during conference play… hit .317 with runners in scoring position and had 14, two-out RBI… named to the OVC All-Tournament Team… finished his career with a .275 batting average in 145 games with 130 hits, 72 runs, 67 RBI, 28 extra-base hits and 21 stolen bases. 

SOPHOMORE (2011): Played in 41 games, making 34 starts… started at third base 33 times and one time at second base… had a .198 batting average on the year with 13 runs and 13 RBIs… also had four doubles and one stolen base… posted a .340 batting average in OVC contests with 10 runs and 10 RBIs… had a .489 slugging percentage and .407 on-base percentage in OVC games… hit his first career home run at Morehead State on April 10… recorded six multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games… hit .857 (6-for-7) with runners on third and two outs… also hit .255 with runners on base and .240 with runners in scoring position… hit .333 with runners in scoring position during OVC play… had a season-high three hits against Eastern Kentucky on March 26 and in both games of a doubleheader at Morehead State… also had a season-high three RBIs at Morehead State in the second game of the doubleheader.

FRESHMAN (2010): Played in 47 games, making 43 starts at second base… posted a .250 batting average on the year with 22 runs, 18 RBIs and six doubles… was 5-for-5 in stolen bases… had a .288 slugging percentage and a .295 on-base percentage… batted .224 in OVC games… posted a .246 batting average with runners in scoring position and a .261 batting average with runners on base… had nine, two-out RBIs… hit safely in each of the first nine home games of the season… posted a season-high three hits to go along with two runs at Southern Illinois on March 24… collected a season-high three RBIs versus Illinois on April 21… posted his first career hit with the Panthers on Feb. 28 at Belmont.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Andrean HS to the 2009 IHSAA 3A state title in baseball… also played basketball… was a two-time regional Gold Glove winner… named to the Northwest Indiana Times All-Area team during his junior and senior seasons… also earned all-area honors as a senior by the Tribune of Northwest Indiana… finished the 2008 season with a .389 batting average… was an honor roll student… played for the Hammond Chiefs summer league team that participated in the 2008 and 2009 Babe Ruth World Series… played for Dave Pishkup in high school.

PERSONAL: Son of Pete and Anne Dineen… his uncle Matt Marzec played baseball at EIU from 1996-00 and finished his career with a program record 39 home runs (now ranks second)… major is undecided.
