Biography

2010: OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll... Foley pitched in two games before an arm injury ended his season and his collegiate career… worked an inning of scoreless relief in the finale of the Southeastern Louisiana series… also pitched two-thirds of an inning against Akron on the spring break trip... EIU All-Time Rankings: eighth in saves.

2009: Foley pitched in two games in relief before he was shutdown for the remainder of the season due to an arm injury… plans to apply for a medical redshirt.

2008:
Foley pitched in 25 games, the second most on the team… led the squad with six saves… worked three innings of one-hit ball to close out the OVC Tournament championship game against Southeast Missouri... led the team with a 1.00 ERA in OVC play, giving up just one earned run in nine innings pitched… surrendered only one extra-base hit in OVC play and just three total for the entire season… did not surrender a home run in 29 innings pitched… recorded a win and a save at the OVC Tournament… missed much of April with a strained muscle in his side but returned in May and was a key part of the bullpen during the postseason run… did not give up a run in 10 innings pitched at home, compiling a 2-0 record and three saves… gave up just one earned run in 13 innings pitched in neutral-site action… managed to record a victory and two saves in his five April appearances before the injury… went 2-1 with two saves and a 2.70 ERA in eight appearances in May… bounced back from tough start to the season with a pair of saves and five innings of one-run relief during the spring break trip… went 1-0 with a save and a 1.12 ERA in his three postseason appearances… closed out the Vermont win, the team’s first victory of the season, with a 1-2-3 inning… finished off the Northern Iowa win despite allowing four batters to reach over two innings… closed out the first two games of the season-long homestand in early April… held a one-run lead with two innings of scoreless relief in the opener of the Austin Peay series, escaping a pair of bases-loaded jams in the ninth inning… struck out three over 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief en route to earning the win in the OVC Tournament victory against Samford… kept EIU in the game in the NCAA Regional contest against Oral Roberts with a 2 1/3 innings of one-run relief… Top 10 OVC Rankings: fourth in saves and seventh in appearances... EIU Single-Season Rankings: seventh in saves.

2007: He pitched in relief in 18 games… ranked second on the team with three saves, two coming in the doubleheader sweep at Morehead State… gave up just two extra-base hits in 16 2/3 innings and none after April 12th… surrendered just one earned run in eight OVC appearances… right-handed batters were just 8-for-41 against him… was also tough with runners on (.219) and two outs (.190)… posted all three of his saves in true road games… closed out the road win at Saint Louis with the potential tying run in scoring position to earn his first career save… was the winning pitcher in the home finale, earning his first career victory after escaping a one-out, bases-loaded jam in the eighth inning… closed out game one of the Morehead State series by getting the Eagles' No. 5 hitter to ground into a double play with the potential winning run on base… came back in the nightcap and tossed two innings of one-hit relief to assure the doubleheader sweep.

HIGH SCHOOL: He was a four-year letter-winner for coaches Rich Stockwell, Roy Bullard and Frank Ganser… also lettered twice in basketball and once in football… played for the Chicago Shooters summer league team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was winning the 2008 OVC Tournament… his father and coaches growning up have been the major influence on his sports career… most admires his high school coach Rich Stockwell because "he was an awesome guy and the best coach"… his uncle Keith Burke played in the Atlanta Braves minor league system… son of William and Dorcie FoleyMAJOR: Communication Studies.
