2008: Estand played in 24 games and started 14 times, primarily at third base… played a prominent role in the walk-off win against Morehead State in the OVC opener, knocking in the game-tying run with a single and scoring the game-winning tally… a three-run homer in the series finale against Morehead allowed him to collect five of his eight RBIs in OVC play… four of his five hits on the spring break were doubles… went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the second of the two wins against Bucknell in Florida.

HIGH SCHOOL: Estand lettered in baseball and football, playing baseball for coach Mike Zunica, at SRHS… earned All-Catholic League honors in both baseball and football… Illinois Prep Baseball Report Top 50 prospect… helped lead St. Rita to the Elite Eight round of the IHSA Baseball State Tournament as a senior… was a member of the IHSA Class 7A state football champions in 2006… won Catholic League titles in both baseball and football during his high school career… also played for the Illinois Sparks summer league team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was winning the 7A football state championship in 2006… his family, especially his brother Ryan, have been a major influence on his sports career because "they pushed me the hardest"… most admires his father because "he taught me to play the game as hard as I can"… son of Dale and Marie Estand… MAJOR: Undecided.
