Biography

2010: Kimbro pitched in seven games, all in relief… did not give up a hit in each of his first three appearances and did not give up a run in each of his first four appearances… worked an inning of scoreless relief against Austin Peay, Illinois, Missouri and Southeast Missouri… worked 1-2-3 innings against Austin Peay and Illinois.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Kimbro played his first two collegiate seasons at Joliet Junior College, helping Joliet win the 2008 NJCAA Division III national championship… went 6-1 with 50 strikeouts in 49 innings of work in 2009… Joliet also won the Illinois N4 Conference titles during both of his seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL: he played for coach Jerry Cougill… two-time Interstate Eight Conference and Area Player of the Year of the as an upperclassman… also a two-time All-State honoree… helped Reed-Custer qualify for the IHSA Class A State finals in 2007… National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was throwing a one-hitter in the IHSA sectional championship… his parents have been a major influence on his sports career because “they always pushed me to be the best I could be”… most admires Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buherle for “his perfect game and no-hitter”… son of Tom and Kathy KimbroMAJOR: Kinesiology and Sports Studies.
