HIGH SCHOOL: Named to the all-conference first team in 2012… was also named to the all-conference honorable mention team as a sophomore… was named an all-conference scholar athlete from 2010-12… posted a .480 batting average as a junior… also had 49 hits, 31 runs 22 doubles and 28 RBI… selected as his team's MVP in both 2011 and 2012.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Rodger and Karen Vandenbroek… father played in the 1977 Senior Babe Ruth World Series that won the championship… father also pitched for two seasons at Loyola-Marymount… mother was a professional cheerleader with the Chicago Blitz (USFL) and with the Chicago Bears during the 1985 Super Bowl season.
