2011 (SENIOR): Second team All-Ohio Valley Conference... led team with 106 tackles (57 solo)... was ranked 3rd in the OVC and 37th in the NCAA in tackles per game... had 1.5 tackles for loss... had six games with double figure tackles including 14 tackles against Tennessee Tech and Eastern Kentucky... had a forced fumble in final game at Southern Illinois along with 11 tackles... finished career with 325 total tackles which ranks 8th on the EIU career tackles list... was a finalist for the ARA Sportsmanship Award... team captain in spring for 2011 season... named to Phil Steele FCS Preview preseason All-OVC first team...  2010 (JUNIOR): Started all 11 games last season with nine starts at weak side linebacker and two starts at middle linebacker... ranked second on the team with 95 tackles (41 solo)... had two pass break-ups and two forced fumbles... had five tackles for loss... had five games with double digit tackles including a season high 15 (1 solo) in the season finale against Illinois State... had nine solo stops in a 12 tackle effort against Central Arkansas... finished season ranked third in the OVC in tackles per game at 8.6 - trailed only teammate Nick Nasti and Marty Jones of Tennessee Tech... also had double digit tackle games at UT Martin (10), vs. Murray State (10) and vs. Austin Peay (11)... 2009 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in nine games with eight starts… missed three games with injury while other game was limited action due to injury… despite playing only nine games still ranked second on team in tackles with 63 (25 solo)… season high 16 tackles in win over Southeast Missouri which included 7 solo and 9 assisted tackles… had lone sack of the season at Indiana State… credited with three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two quarterback hurries... 2008 (RS-FRESHMAN): Appeared in all 12 games making six starts at middle linebacker and one start at weak side linebacker... came on strong in latter portion of the season ranking third on team with 61 tackles... had two tackles for loss and one-half sack at Eastern Kentucky... finished season with a pair of nine tackle games against Tennessee State and Austin Peay. 2007 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Two way star in high school for coach Dave Jacobs at Champaign's Central HS... team posted a 2-7 record during senior year as he finished as career leader with 416 tackles… played running back rushing for 501 yards and 4 touchdowns… also had 97 tackles with 12 for loss playing linebacker… first team All-State as a junior... two-time All-Big 12 Conference selection at running back and linebacker as a junior and senior... second team All-Area as a senior... honor roll student... also lettered in track and wrestling. 

PERSONAL: Majoring in exercise science... son of Happy and Dianne Leman... No. 1 sports highlight was being named first team All-State by the Illinois Coaches Association as a junior... brother J was an All-American linebacker at Illinois (currently with the Minnesota Vikings)... brother JD was an All-American at Wheaton College... sister Julie played volleyball at Olivet Nazarene.
