2010 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played offensive and defensive line at Niles West HS... recorded 31 tackles during senior season with three sacks... had a season high seven tackles with two sacks against New Trier HS... set school record with eight sacks as a junior, also had 35 tackles for the year.

PERSONAL: Majoring in science with a teacher certification... son of Michael and Irene Tripkos... brother Angelo transferred into EIU program in spring of 2011.
