2012 (SENIOR): Played in five games as a reserve offensive lineman... 2011 (JUNIOR): Played as a reserve offensive lineman in the first three games of the season... missed remainder of the year with an injury.

MT. SAN JACINTO JC: Played two seasons at Mt. San Jacinto Junior College in California… made 20 consecutive starts at right tackle earning second team All-Southern California Football Association honors as a sophomore and freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Scott Strosnider at Great Oak HS earning All-Southwestern League honors.

PERSONAL: Majoring in kinesiology... son of Marty and Susan Varela... memorable sports moment was making All-Southern California JUCO team two straight years.
