EIU: 2008 Outlook: Will compete for starting spot at outside linebacker... good north/south tackler... 2007: Appeared in all 12 games starting final three at outside linebacker... finished season with 45 tackles which ranked 7th on team... had 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks... season best game was eight tackle effort against Southern Illinois in NCAA FCS playoff game... 2006: Appeared in nine games seeing more action in later part of season... finished with 15 tackles.. best game was a six tackle effort against Murray State with two tackles for loss... 2005: Played in just two games as a reserve linebacker making two tackles... 2004: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: East Suburban Catholic All-Conference for coach Andy Bitto at Carmel HS which won the IHSA Class 6A state championship with a perfect 13-0 record in 2003... he was also First Team All-Lake County... Pioneer Press and Waukegan Sun-Times First Team All-Area... led the team with 113 tackles... was a three-time conference discus champion and two-time shot put champ... also an Honor Roll student.
PERSONAL: Finance major... No. 1 sports highlight was “causing three fumbles and recovering one fumble in the Illinois state championship game”... son of James and Barbara Larson... older sister Crystal is a school record holder in the hammer throw at Marquette... older brothers Jeremiah and Luke played football at Wisconsin-Platteville and Quincy, respectively.
