HIGH SCHOOL: Played for his father Todd Butler at nearby Cumberland HS… was a IHSA Class 1A All-State selection at quarterback as a senior… played both quarterback and defensive back in high school… led Cumberland to 2011 IHSA Class 1A playoffs… two time first team All-Little Illini Conference as a junior and senior… rushed for 1,413 yards and 21 touchdowns and completed 88-of-184 passes for 1,007 more yards and 10 more touchdowns as a senior… passed for 817 yards and rushed for 738 yards as a junior… had 25 career interceptions… National Honor Society member…
