HIGH SCHOOL: Played linebacker and defensive line for Florida Class 5A State Champions as team posted a 15-0 record during senior season… recorded 52 solo tackles for the season… team finished tied for first in the ESPN High School national rankings with South Panola HS of Mississippi… had 12 tackles for loss for 31 yards… added four pass break-ups and four forced fumbles… selected to play in the Dade-Broward All-Star Game… played for head coach George Smith at St. Thomas Aquinas HS as team twice won high school national championship... was an All-American nominee as a senior.

PERSONAL: Son of Lori and Kenneth Hankerson... memorable sports moment was returning a fumble for a touchdown in state championship game... relatives Marcus Gilbert and Leonard Hankerson were drafted in the 2011 NFL Draft... Gilbert was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Hankerson by the Washington Redskins.
