2011 (SENIOR): Started the first three games of the season at wide receiver before suffering season ending injury late in the Tennessee Tech game... was leading the nation in all-purpose yardage at 177 yards per game when injured... had 16 catches for 209 yards (13.1 yards per catch) with one touchdown... seven catches for 114 yards and a touchdown in season opener against Illinois State... finished career third on EIU kick return yardage list with 1,408 including one touchdown... finished career with 69 catches for 1,042 yards and nine touchdowns... was elected a team captain in the spring for the 2011 season... 2010 (JUNIOR): Played in all 11 games starting ten games at the slot wide receiver position... had 20 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns... served as the Panthers primary kick off return man with 32 returns for 795 yards (24.8 average)... ranked fourth in the OVC in kick off return average and ranked 37th in the NCAA... long return of the season was 69 yards against Central Arkansas... hauled in four passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns against Murray State... special teams starter on punt return defense making three tackles... had a pass break-up on a two-point conversion against Murray State... 2009 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 12 games starting at the split wide receiver position… led the Panthers with 381 receiver yards and three touchdowns… finished year with 19 receptions for a 20.1 yard per catch average… also had two rushes for 13 yards including an 11-yard end around for a touchdown in FCS playoff game at Southern Illinois… had big receiving day with three catches for 101 yards in win at Southeast Missouri… moving into starting kick returner role at Penn State and finished season averaging 30.6 yards per kick return… had an 87 yard kick return for touchdown at Jacksonville State… also in that game at Jacksonville State he blocked a punt and forced a fumble on punt return as he was named the National Special Teams Player of the Week… also had a blocked kick against Eastern Kentucky… finished season with 10 special teams tackles including nine solo stops... 2008 (RS-FRESHMAN): Played in 11 games ranking fifth on the team with 14 receptions and yards per game... his 11.9 yards per reception were third on the squad... caught touchdown passes against Illinois and UT Martin... season high four receptions at UT Martin... 2007 (FRESHMAN): NCAA non-qualifier who attended EIU but did not play football. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for North All-Stars in BCAA All-Star game catching one touchdown pass… second team South Florida Sun-Sentinel… honorable mention All-Broward County… 40 receptions for 603 yards and 3 touchdowns… physical, big play receiver. 

PERSONAL: Majoring in physical education... son of Cynthia and Leroy Ricks, Sr... No. 1 sports highlight is "the fact that he has been playing football since he was nine years old"... cousin Maranda Hankerson played basketball at TCU.
