2022 (FRESHMAN): Did not appear in any games during the 2022 season, used redshirt season... 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Anthony Capriotia at Guilford HS… played both wide receiver and defensive back during his career… as a senior had 40 tackles with 14 pass break-ups and two interceptions... added three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries... also ran indoor and outdoor track at Guilford competing in the 100 meter and 200 meter sprints… was a first-team All-NIC performer in track as a junior and senior... father Mike Smith was a defensive back at Eastern Illinois in the early 1990’s…
