EIU: 2008 Outlook: Enters fall camp as projected starter at one defensive end spot... also plays on offensive jumbo and heavy packages... 2007: Played in all 12 games making 16 tackles as a reserve defensive end/pass rusher... season best games were three tackles against both Illinois State (0,3) and Jacksonville State (2,1)... had 3.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries... 2006: Appeared in all 13 games finishing with 14 tackles... had two tackles for loss with one coming against Illinois and the other against Illinois State in NCAA playoff game... 2005: Redshirted due to NCAA transfer rules.

IOWA WESLEYAN: Attended Iowa Wesleyan for one year... did not play football.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for coach Tom Bailey at Rich South where he earned First Team All-SICA South honors, was team MVP and team captain... two-time state qualifier in shot put and discus, and holds school records in both of those events.

PERSONAL: Physical education major with an emphasis in exercise science... No. 1 sports highlight was “being the team captain and bringing my team to the state playoffs in 2003”... son of Karen Bennett... member of EIU track and field team in 2005-06, earned first team All-OVC honors setting indoor conference record in 35lb. weight throw with a mark of 59'05.00" feet.
